The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the delegation of the French Senate

The Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, met with a delegation led by the head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group 'France – Central Asia' of the Senate of the French Republic, Hervé Maurey. According to the press service of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, during the meeting, the guests were informed about the priorities of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy, the composition of the Parliament, and the ongoing work on legislative support for program reforms. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange views on improving the work of parliamentary friendship groups established on a bilateral basis, establishing connections between relevant committees, and organizing mutual visits of delegations. Discussing the current state of Turkmen-French relations and prospects for their development, the parties emphasized significant opportunities for expanding cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres, and enhancing inter-parliamentary relations.
