Turkmenistan is modernizing the system of international road transport

At the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, issues of the development of international road transport and the introduction of digital technologies in the transport sector were discussed. According to TDH, the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications M.Chakiyev reported on the ongoing work to increase the volume of transit cargo and improve the quality of cargo transportation services. Special attention was paid to Turkmenistan's cooperation with foreign countries in the field of introducing digital technologies and IT developments into the transport sector. It was noted that this plays a key role in accelerating transport operations and creating favorable conditions for using the country's transport potential. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of studying international experience in the transition to an electronic cargo transportation system to speed up processes. He also noted that within the framework of intergovernmental agreements, cooperation in the field of transport is expanding, with a special emphasis on using the capabilities of digital systems. The Head of State instructed to continue work on the integration of Turkmenistan into the global transport system and approved the submitted proposals for the modernization of the industry. The Head of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers was given specific instructions on the implementation of the planned plans. These measures are aimed at improving the efficiency of international road transport and strengthening Turkmenistan's position as an important transit hub in the region.
