Turkmenistan's exports to Uzbekistan increased by 80% in 8 months of 2024

Turkmenistan increased exports to Uzbekistan by more than 80% in the period from January to August 2024 compared to the same period last year, the Statistics Agency under the President of Uzbekistan reports. The trade turnover between the two countries for the specified period amounted to 805.4 million US dollars, which is 55.7% or 288.4 million dollars more compared to the same time last year. Turkmenistan's exports to Uzbekistan increased by 82% in the first eight months of this year, reaching $727.1 million. At the same time, the total value of goods and services imported from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan amounted to 78.3 million dollars. For comparison, this figure in the same period last year was 118.4 million dollars. In addition, this year Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover exceeded 42 billion 703 million dollars, of which 25 billion 359 million were imports, and 17 billion 344 million were exports.
