The XXV Conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World was held yesterday in Ashgabat, at the Center for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan.
According to TDH, representatives of Turkmen diasporas from several foreign countries, as well as delegates from all regions of Turkmenistan, participated in the forum.
The agenda included a report on the work done and a discussion of the priority areas for the Association's future activities.
Participants listened to a welcome message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Then the forum delegates were thoroughly informed about the large-scale socio-economic programs being successfully implemented, aimed at increasing the well-being of the people and the international prestige of Turkmenistan.
Representatives from Germany, Afghanistan, the UAE, and Turkey, speaking about the activities of the Association's foreign branches, proudly noted that today independent neutral Turkmenistan is truly demonstrating its commitment to comprehensively developing traditional ties of friendship, mutual respect, good neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign countries in various fields. Turkmens living in different parts of the world preserve and pass on their native language and national traditions, honed over centuries, as well as their spiritual and moral values, from generation to generation.
Next, a ceremony was held to award honorary certificates to members of the Association.
At the conclusion of the XXV Conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World, a thank-you address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was adopted.
As part of the conference, an exhibition of decorative and applied arts was organized, vividly reflecting the color and multifaceted richness of the Turkmen people's cultural heritage, its history, and unique traditions, the source notes.
